Jeffrey Gardiner P.E. partners with industry to complete tough engineering projects, while slashing schedule and achieving up to 40% project savings. After spending nearly a decade working in the nuclear power industry, Jeff knows what is truly required to effectively scope and execute multi-million dollar projects. Significant cost reduction isn’t achieved by any single project phase…its mastered by oversight of the entire project. From scoping and stakeholder buy-in to engineering reviews, contractor oversight, and operational testing…Jeff has led teams through it all.
Jeff has led teams to:
- Design/build/install/test a 5-bladed underwater saw capable of cutting used nuclear fuel to within 1/32 of an inch
- Evaluate the seismic adequacy of nuclear power plant components, and structures following beyond-design-basis events
- Demonstrate the integrity of storage tanks and pipes when subjected to postulated tornado missile impacts …including a car traveling at 80 mph!
- Design a structural steel barrier system capable of withstanding a postulated tornado missile
- Scope elements of a beyond-design-basis shutdown cooling system at a nuclear power plant
- Verify commercial nuclear utilities readiness for Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s inspections and rulemaking
- Scope/design/oversee construction of a blast and bullet resistant bunkered alarm station.
When Jeff isn’t helping clients reach their project goals while recognizing substantial cost savings, he’s the CEO and Founder of XCEED Engineering and Consulting P.C. Responsible for the strategic direction of the firm, product quality, staff oversight and team safety, Jeff is personally vested in the successful completion of every project.
Jeff holds a MS of Civil/Structural Engineering form the University at Buffalo, and is a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer. His areas of specialty include:
