Collaboration: The Nuclear Industry User Group

The User Group

What’s the best way to get the nuclear industry’s best minds together to discuss trends and solutions?

Form a User’s Group! The Nuclear Industry has formed a number of user groups because they recognize that collaboration is key. There is an industry User Group for nearly every system and program. These groups hold face-to-face annual conferences. Some examples include:

  • Turbine Driven Auxiliary Feedwater Pump Problems?  The Terry-Turbine Users Group (TTUG) has you covered. System managers are experts on vibration, over-speed protection and steam flow
  • Compressed Air Problems? The Compressed Air Nuclear Users Group (CANUG) was founded in 2001. CANUG works to improve the reliability, and reduce the cost of the compressed air systems.  These systems serve the Air Operated Valves (AOVs) that aid in controlling the conversion of nuclear energy to electricity.
  • Air Operated Valve Sticking? The Air Operated Valve User Group (AUG) has the experts you need.  AUG is a forum for the exchange of information concerning the performance, design, testing, and maintenance of AOVs.
  • Motor Operated Valve (MOV) Stroke Time Degraded? The Motor-Operated Valve Users’ Group (MUG) has the troubleshooting skills you need.  MUG is a forum for the exchange of information related to the testing and maintenance of MOVs.
